What's in it
For extra taste, you can add 4 chopped bacon pieces.
2 tablespoons butter that isn't salted
1 small onion, cut up
Two cloves of chopped garlic
2 medium-sized carrots, cut up
2 celery stalks, cut up
3 cups corn kernels, fresh or frozen (about 4 to 5 ears of fresh corn)
2 small potatoes, cut up
4 cups veggie or chicken bouillon
1 teaspoon thyme, either fresh or dried
1 cup half-and-half or heavy cream
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (you can add more if you want it thicker)
Add salt and pepper to taste.
For a topping, you can use fresh parsley or onions.
