Because technology is so important these days, power strips are needed to charge all the electronics we use every day. Power strips are a good way to add more electrical outlets, but they should be used carefully to avoid any problems. These nine things should never be hooked up to a power strip:
Big tools for the home:
Power strips are made for chargers, lamps, computers, and other things that don't need a lot of power. When you plug in big tools like fridges, air conditioners, or washing machines, the power strip may become overloaded. This can cause it to get too hot and even start a fire. Because they use so much power, big machines need their own lines.
Heaters for little rooms:
To heat up, space heaters need a lot of power. If you plug too many things into a power strip that's meant for light use, the circuit could become overloaded and catch fire. To make sure they get enough power without putting your safety at risk, you should plug space heaters straight into wall outlets.
Things that need a lot of electricity:
High-power items, like tools and cooking machines, should be plugged straight into a wall outlet. When you put too many things into a power strip, they can get too hot, lose power, and perhaps even start a fire. Always check your gadgets to see how much power they need and use them the right way.
Putting several power strips next to each other:
When you connect several power plugs together, the electrical connection can become overloaded, which can cause a fire. There are more chances for something to go wrong and for electricity to flow slowly through each power strip. This can make it more likely that your computer will get too hot. Use one good power strip with enough plugs instead.
Gas and electric grills and cookers:
