I knew this recipe was a keeper when my husband gave a guy the delivery of fresh rolls from my oven, and the guy said, “… you know, those rolls tastes like the ones at this restaurant … ”
* Firtly Blending :
° 1 c. sugar
° yeast 1 envelope
° 1/4 cup lukewarm water
* Even if your yeast is raised:
° Boil 1/2 cup of milk and let cool to lukewarm
° Add 1 tablespoon of butter
° 1/3 cup of honey
* For bread, machine to add:
Add the milk mixture
° 1/2 tsp. salt
° 3 cups of bread flour
° 1 egg
* Preparation:
Add the yeast mixture (after 10 minutes if double mixture, yeast is active)
Then I put my bread maker on for the dough cycle. A good dough looks like a soft ball. Remove the dough when the dough program is finished. Divide the dough in half and with your hands each in a long roll tube and cut into widths. Double on a greased dish and bake in a preheated 350 degree F. oven for 9 to 12 minutes. . Brush with melted butter and good luck!
Notes: You can also make this recipe without a bread maker, in hand kneading, which is how I started making it.
ENJOY!
