This flaky dessert is extremely easy to make and everywhere I take it I get asked for the recipe.
° 2 cups of cream cheese
° 1 cup of sugar
° 1 c. vanilla
° 2 pkgs of croissant dough (Pillsbury type)
° 3/4 cup sugar
° 1 c. cinnamon
° 1/2 cup of butter at room temperature
° 1/4 cup honey
* Preparation steps:
Preheated oven (180 ° C). Grease a 9 13 rectangular pan.
In a bowl, whisk cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar & vanilla.
Unroll the crescent dough and using a rolling pin, work the dough into two rectangles the size of the prepared pan. Press one of the rectangles into the bottom of the pan and spread the cream cheese mixture on top. Covering with another rectangle dough . In a bowl, mix 3/4 cup of sugar, cinnamon also butter . Sprinkle the top dough with small pieces of this mixture.
Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the pastry has puffed and is golden brown. Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey. Permit cooled totally before cutt to 12 squares .
