Buttermilk Pie is my nominee for this year’s Perfect Dessert Awards. It’s incredibly easy to make, the topping is luxuriously soft and creamy on the inside with a slightly cracked sugar top, and while it’s an old-fashioned southern classic, it doesn’t receive the notoriety it does. ‘she deserves.
° 1 cup sugar
° 3 cup tsp flour
° 3 egg
° 3/3 cup buttermilk
° 1/4 cup salted butter, melt and luke-warm
° 1 cup of lemon juice
° Lemon zest
° 1 c. teaspoon vanilla extract
° 1 pie shell made from graham crackers
° Fresh fruit for decorate
Preheat oven to 180 ° C. In a bowl, blend sugar also flour. Stir in the eggs, buttermilk, butter, lemon juice, lemon zest and vanilla using an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Pour into the pie crust.
Cooking 36 to 41 min. Chilled for 2 hours on a wire rack, or until ready to serve. Garnish with fresh fruit or whipped cream, to taste.
