This is one of my easy-go-to recipes! It’s so easy to throw up and grill all day long, making the meat so tender that it almost falls apart. My children love to eat it because it’s the right size for their hands-on little rolls, but my husband eats his hoagies on foot-long ones.
To make it, you will need:
• 3pounds/1.5Kg of beef round steak.
• 2 thin green-peppers.
• 2 -sliced- thin onions.
• 3 C.Of of beef stock.
• 2 TSP.Of sea salt.
• 2 TSP.Of black pepper.
• An envelope of -dry Italian- dressing mix.
• 2 large loaves of french bread sliced into sandwich lengths.
• Provolone cheese slices.
•Step 1_Place the thin strips of meat in a spray-slow cooker and apply the green pepper, onion, stock, garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and dressing mixture.
•Step 2_Cook for 7 hours on low heat or for just 3 to 4 hours on high heat.
•Step 3_If you like, fill in the french bread sandwiches or the toasted buns and cover them with cheese.
•Step 4_To melt the cheese, bake on a baking sheet for a few minutes and serve with sauteed mushrooms on top if you want to.
Simple, delicious, and easy to make! Philly cheesesteak sandwiches are very tasty in this slow cooker! Personally, instead of French bread with some extra cheese on top, I use toasted buns!Enjoy it!
