Baked French Dip Biscuits


 

For the Biscuits:

  • 1 (16 oz) tube refrigerated biscuit dough (8 count)

  • ½ lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced

  • 8 slices provolone or Swiss cheese

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp dried parsley

For the Au Jus (Dipping Sauce):

  • 1 ½ cups beef broth

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

(Optional: Add ½ tsp horseradish to the au jus for extra kick!)


Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prep & Preheat

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Lightly grease a 9x9-inch baking dish (or line with parchment).

2. Assemble the Biscuits

  1. Flatten each biscuit into a 4-inch circle.

  2. Layer 1 slice cheese + 1 oz roast beef in the center.

  3. Fold dough over and pinch to seal (like a dumpling).

3. Bake to Golden Perfection

  1. Arrange stuffed biscuits in the baking dish.

  2. Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley; brush over tops.

  3. Bake 15–18 minutes until golden brown.

4. Make the Au Jus

  1. In a saucepan, simmer broth, Worcestershire, soy sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder for 5 minutes.

5. Serve & Enjoy!

  • Serve biscuits warm with au jus for dipping.

  • Garnish with fresh thyme or chives.
