Seafood Bisque with Crab, Shrimp, and Lobster

½ pound cooked lump crab meat 🦀
½ pound cooked shrimp, peeled & deveined 🍤
½ pound cooked lobster meat, chopped 🦞
For Garnish (Optional):
Fresh parsley, chopped 🌿
Croutons or crusty bread for dipping 🥖
A drizzle of extra cream or a squeeze of lemon 🍋
Instructions
1. Sauté the Aromatics:
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add onions, celery, and carrots and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
2. Build the Bisque Base:
Stir in tomato paste, paprika, Old Bay seasoning, and cayenne pepper, cooking for 1 minute to enhance the flavors.
Pour in the white wine (if using) and let it reduce for 2 minutes.
Add the seafood stock and bring to a simmer. Let cook for 10–15 minutes to blend flavors.
3. Blend for a Smooth Texture (Optional):
For a silky bisque, use an immersion blender to puree the soup until smooth.
If using a regular blender, blend in batches, then return to the pot.
4. Add the Cream & Seafood:
Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream.
Gently fold in the crab, shrimp, and lobster and simmer for 5 minutes, until the seafood is heated through.
Taste and adjust seasoning with salt & black pepper.
5. Serve & Enjoy!
Ladle into bowls and top with fresh parsley, a drizzle of cream, or extra seafood for a gourmet touch.
Serve with crusty bread, oyster crackers, or garlic croutons for the perfect pairing.
💡 Tips for Success:
Want More Depth? Simmer the soup for an extra 10 minutes before blending to intensify the flavors.
Make It Thicker? Add 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water before adding the seafood.
No Seafood Stock? Use a mix of chicken broth & clam juice for a flavorful substitute.
Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
